Re-watching Man of Steel – live blog thoughts:

• The opening scene music- the entire soundtrack, is so good
• i love the creative customization of opening logos – in this case Kryptonian writing in the same geometal gray.
• Very prequel Star Wars space opera unique alien planet visuals opening shots and that appeals to my aesthetics
• Zod. Zod is the standard I judge villains against
• australopithecus-like skull for our SF Genetic Noah’s Ark? Yes
• House of El citadel looks like an observatory
• Lara has more to do and more agency in this movie than any other Superman media I was/am familiar with
• Lara = Jochebed
• The lines here from Jor-el and Lara

• the Lex Luthor like power-suits Jor-el is wearing is hilarious
