Yes I watched LEGO DC Rage of Atlantis, an animated movie definitely aimed at young kids (but still decent quality writing), because one of the main characters (the B-arc) was Jessica Cruz and the A-plot was Aquaman – and thus there was a lot of Orm in pure annoying younger sibling making dumbfuck fish son stupid decisions, eventually regretting them and then teaming up with his big brother. Kid friendly water-themed Odinson type content. And the writers included Red Lantern Mera. And made Lobo’s inclusion logical and his character tolerable

Voltron S6 Spoiler

⚠️

Soooo….been a long time I wanted to talk about the amazing and heart breaking moment between Shiro and Keith during this season.

It was honnestly, for me, one of the best moment of this Show, my heart was beating like hell when I saw it for the first time because we got like, big reveal, big emotionnal moment and how the épisode end and all : truly great!

but

after watching it it feel like something was lacking, and this is a feeling I got since the beginning of the show.

For me it was a show about a TEAM , a team that will eventually end up feeling like they are family to each others. And we had a lot of “bonding moment” between the characters.

but theses bonding moment where the whole team was here were most of the times “funny” bonding moments (a the party when pidge want to leave, the Show with the bibobi, the DND game) I hardly remember serious, heartbreacking bonding moment with everyone here to support one character.

but I’m not here to make a detailed critic/analysis of the show, I just wanted to show you guys what, FOR ME, would have been the perfect time to show that this show is about a team that is united even in the hardest of times.

So first, everyone is here when discovering The Facility with all the Shiro’s Clones, they are all in shock when seeing it.

Shiro’s Clone arrive, and then, one hell of a fight begin : The voltron Team VS Shiro.

They all try to call out for him, to reason him, talk to him while trying to block his attacks, all of them trying not to hurt him and understand what is going on.

eventually we arrive at the moment when the facility is falling apart, the team got separated from Shiro and Keith, they have their moment of big emotional talking.

The team manage to rejoin Keith on the platform just before the Facility explode.

Shiro fall at the edge of the platform, unconscious because of the blast, keith throw himself so he can catch him before he fall, but he is to heavy for him and Keith get dragged by Shiro.

Lance and Pidge ,with fast reflexes, got hold on Keith’s legs but they got dragged too, with Shiro and keith…

.. They fall into the void.

But Pidge have her bayard, and use it to throw a Grappling Hook to Hunk who catch it in time and hang on as best as he can.

and Hunk succed, he is using all his strenght to keep his friends, his space family, alive. He is the last thing that keep them from falling and he can feel that he begin to slip. With tears in eyes, he hold on tight, as long as he can, while they try to figure out a possible way of getting out of this mess.

but ultimately, with a pained cry, Hunk get dragged by all of them.

and they fall.

they get closer, so everyone can hold on on Shiro, not letting him go, even if maybe it’s a clone, it’s THEIR Shiro.

While looking at their

unconscious

friend, all of them have a moment where they remember how Shiro got an important impact on their lives.

Like, lance remember that it’s because he admired Shiro that he tried so hard to join the garrison and go into space.

Pidge remember how, because he was friend with matt, she saw him as a kind of big brother too.

Maybe that Shiro got an important impact on hunk’s life too, maybe hunk was going to drop out the garison because he feel like he doesn’t matter, but Shiro, seeing him doubting and sad in his corner, help him feel better, and told him how important an engineer is for a team in space.

of courses Keith remember how Shiro saved him and all the canon things we saw.

And at this very moment, we finally understand how Shiro is the CORE of this team, how important he is for all of them. That he is the link between all theses people. and that’s why he is the Black paladin, the head and heart of Voltron.

phew, it’s a long text message (it was hard to write it because english is not my first language) but I really wanted to share it with you (even if my art to illustrate it was totally rushed and not the best art I made), I wish I was better at comic so I could have show it to you as a comic instead of a badly written text.

Could I get you to share any headcanons about Elmo…

Whoops! At some point I’ll stalk your blog for Elmo stuff – thanks for answering anyhow. The Elwing hc broke my heart quite effectively.

It’s just…personally hilarious because I think if I was known for stanning any character in the Silm during the first year I was active in the fandom, it was Elmo.

That Elwing HC is a post…somewhere…and on my list of fics to write

Could I get you to share any headcanons about Elmo the Ever-forgotten? (Or, really, any of the forgotten members in his line: Galadhon, Galathil, unnamed wives…)

…okay, don’t take this the wrong way, but: how new are you to my blog?

*cackles*

the cheap thing to do would be to just link my two tags “elmo the elf” and “favorite minor elf y’all”. I did a vocal meme reply for Elmo that I had to break into three parts.

How much time do you have?

Cliff notes versions for those that don’t have at least twenty minutes:

Elmo is the youngest of the three brothers princely, of the first generation born in Cuiviénen – that is born, not Unbegotten. The Nelyar started branching into separate village groups- and some were constantly travelling around the woods like Lenwë’s group, or lived in dugout canoes and rafts on the Great Lake itself. But the parents of Elwë, Olwë, and Elmo were leaders of a Nelyar offshoot that settled their particular small village on the banks of a very small stream that was a marshy reed-bed into the the shore, instead of the larger river with waterfall of the first Nelyar village (Enel and Enelyë). The main advantage of this location, aside from gentle quiet water supply and good harvest of reeds (edible and manufacturing) and waterfowl (Ducks are an important motif for Elmo and his wife) is that the village is roughly centered between the lone Minyar village and the second Tatyar village (Rúmilo and the other dissidents from Tata). Especially thanks to Elwë, Elmo grows up used to the other two tribes. (Lenwë’s roamers interact with everyone too). Now even before going to Valinor, Elwë is ridiculously tall. Olwë is average tall for the Lindar, and Elmo…he’s on the short side and at first seems to be a little stockier than his brothers- but it’s Olwë that thickens in middle-age to be the barrel-chest and slight pudgy while Elmo grows into a boniness (that might just be the wandering Middle-earth as an Eglath). Olwë has whitest hair, Elwë is mid silver, Elmo is that very dark silver that still has a shine and lightness so you wouldn’t mistake it for black. Charcoal gray. Galadhon has a more pewter shade, and his sons are even lighter. Now Elmo’s wife- a childhood friend slightly older- is Linkwinen. Her older brother, Eredhon, was a loyal follower of the brothers. Right before Elwë leaves for Valinor that first time, post War, Elmo and Linkwinen are expecting their first child, who is born before Elwë gets back. She’s Ilsë, named because she shares her uncle’s hair and in honor of him. This is a theme, because Olwë later names his son born in Tol Eressea or Alqualondë after Elwë in remembrance of that brother (which causes angst with Elwing because she hears that Eluren is reborn and thinks she gets to meet her big brother and instead gets an uncle that had been killed in the First Kinslaying). Elmo’s second child is Egnith (darkest silver hair), a daughter born during the Great Journey, who marries “Bao” (possibly Tatyar). Egnith is Eöl’s mother. Now Elmo was the youngest, very focused on his growing family during the Great Journey (and the crying babies are why Unc’Elu is making so many visits to Finwë to escape the family chaos, leading to his Nan Elmoth unplanned side visit), so he wasn’t sharing the leadership duties like Olwë was. But when Elwë goes missing, Elmo is the leader of the faction that wants to stay and search. And he and Olwë is viciously nasty to each other on what Elu would have wanted/you’re using his name as an excuse, so on and so forth the Finwions have nothing on this brotherly fight divide. Ilsë goes with Olwë (becomes Admiral of their fleet, has a wife, still bitterly angry at dead relatives by War of Wrath). Egnith and Bao get captured by Sauron and turned into proto orcs, Eöl is rescued by dwarves and has trauma, during the time the Eglath are hunting for Elu. Elu adn Melian found, Elmo rejoices! Eredhon and sons are leaders in charge of Mithrim/Northern Sindar. Elmo lives w/ Elu and family. When Denethor’s people come into Beleriand, Elmo and Linkwinen set their son Galadhon up with Denethor’s sister. Thus Galathil and Celeborn are the nephews of Denethor and technically closest remaining Nandor royalty. Thus why Galathil and Nimloth stay with the Green Elves. Galathil marries a female relative of Oropher. When Dior and Nimloth rule, Oropher is excited for the court prestige he can wield. Thus another undercurrent to that Celeborn-Thranduil tension. Nimloth died beside Dior (her weapon is knives). Galathil is killed because he was trying to protect and escape with his grandsons.

Finally starting episode 6-

laughing at how on-point some of the roasting is- yeah, writers, you’ve done little to endure Keith’s leaderships abilities, and unlike the other three Garrison cadets and Allura, he’s had virtually no bonding friendship scenes, especially since season 2, and is still written as an asshole. And yet here’s the main hero character. Also, the blatant sidelining of Shiro so they don’t have to write him into any episode scenes is getting very obnoxious. There was more of him relevant to the plot when he was missing.

…Hunk is getting treated right. And a better leader in one speech than three seasons of Keith
