Killmonger: let me die, bury me in the sea with my ancestors who jumped ship rather than live in bondage
T’Challa: I recognize that you have made a decision, cousin, but given that it’s a stupid decision, I’ve elected to ignore it
T’Challa: also this is a landlocked country

Was re-reading the Belisarius series for the umpteenth time this week, and ironically thanks to another utterly unrelated dashpost, have been watching random Bollywood song clips from historical epics. And now I really wish that there was A) a fandom for this series or B) I was familiar with Bollywood flicks and actors to make some fancast posts.
give me five characters/shows/celebrities/fandoms/whatever and i will put them in order from my favorite to least favorite.
Tired and busy but I’ll have time this weekend, and I started a new doll reroot. Bought one of the newest WW dolls (missing the Themyscira and kicking myself still), so with four of them I felt I could finally justify rerooting one with brown hair for a psuedo Jessica Cruz. Haven’t decided if to re-paint the eyes brown or green. Unfortunately only realized when out of packaging that the Hero-of-the-Month doesn’t have the extra articulation point at the bust, so debating which of the other Dianas with get a headswap (and which Diana will officially be relabeled my Donna)
This weekend I’ll try to finally take pictures of them for y’all.
it seems like everyone i follow on tumblr is posting copious amounts of dragon age, and i feel it is pertinent to say that i’ve seen a lot of things: an ostensibly traitorous egg person, a horrific bull human hybrid, romantic british redcoat dances, pirates, magic, violence, soft porn of every orientation combination, sad white haired anime elves…yes, i’ve seen it all. what have i not seen? even one single dragon.
Okay so the Black Panther AUs where Erik was taken back to Wakanda as a child and grew up w/ his cousins and was Nakia’s supporter in the end-isolationist-policy humanitarian efforts? Links plz
Just saw Black Panther. While not perfect, it was definitely a vast improvement over the recent MCU films. The tie-ins to the greater MCU were some of the weakest parts, Nakia Shuri the Queen and the Dora were vastly superior characters to the guys, M’baku was a surprising delight and thankfully the only one with that MCU piss-take humor that spoofed the mood, therefore the humor worked instead of GotG2 monstrosity. The visual designs and world building was great – CGI was either hit or very much miss. The metallic sand visualization was as much inspired by Man of Steel’s Krypton as DCEU’s Superman costume. Story was weak in some parts, good in others – miles and miles ahead of Civil War.
It felt more like a DCEU film so I enjoyed it.
