Hello everyone!

This is a sideblog of @kareenvorbarra, dedicated to art, fic, meta, graphics, and other works featuring the Edain (members of the first three groups of humans who entered Beleriand in the First Age). For now it’s going to be a sort of archive, where I hope to collect new Edain content as well as promote my favorite older posts, and maybe prompt some new discussions about old meta and headcanons. However, if I get enough followers and interest, I’d love to try running Edain theme weeks for the Tumblr Silmarillion fandom! Some friends and I did that a few years ago from our main blogs – we had a lot of fun, and I think it would be easier to organize and reach more people from a dedicated fanblog.

If any of this sounds interesting to you, follow @thethreehouses and reblog this post so that more people will know about it!

Actual DCEU/Snyder’s fandom : lots of POCs who are thankful that Snyder depicted Superman as an immigrant. Lots of talented people who write thousands and thousands of metas to explain their love for the DCEU. Try to stay positive despite the pure vitriol that is constantly sent to them since 2013. May not like the MCU but are excited and happy about Black Panther and have made it known. Came together for a school in New York to raise money for them all to see Black Panther.

Just want to be left alone, really, and mourn what could have been an incredible Justice League movie ( that will probably never see the light of the day partly because of the haters) .

DCEU Haters : Accuse DCEU fans to try to sabotage BP even though it’s been proven since then that a SW fan is to blame for that campaign. Accuse the fandom of being full of ALT RIGHT activists and deliberately remain deaf to the voices of the POCs and women and good men that make the fandom. Promote articles full negativity towards the DCEU and use them as an excuse to attack the fans, only to stay quiet when those articles are in fact proven wrong. Think it’s ok to attack and slander Zach Snyder simply because he had the audacity to show his vision of Superman to the world. Think it’s ok to continue to attack and slander Zach Snyder after the man’s family suffered a terrible tragedy. Justify their shitty behavior by deluding themselves that they’re somehow defending all the actresses that had to work with that sexist asshole. Ignore the fact that those very actresses whose honor they claim to defend have all shown their support for Snyder and have all professed their desire to work with him again. Simply won’t let the dceu fans enjoy their movies in peace.

oh no I’m sorry to hear you had the flu! (am I just behind, is tumblr not giving me posts in order again)

I hadn’t advertised it, and it was more ‘lingering effects’ and not energy, persistent sinus – but everyone around me was coming down with fevers and getting bad cases of it. So I’ve been curled up in blankets catching up on reading and games and trying to force myself to cook when I don’t have much of an appetite.

Tangentially – Garth Nix’s Frogkisser is a cute book, very young YA fantasy in the style of Wrede’s Talking With Dragons, Lloyd Alexander , Ella Enchanted, etc… where a big plot point is fantasy Magna Carta, and I’m not sure if it’s intentional but the main character reads are very much not-straight, which isn’t something I usually pick up on but I wonder if tumblr agrees with me.
