One time I worked as a personal assistant for this rich dude. He was pretty ok for like. A dude w more money than I can rlly comprehend? Anyways a part of his assets was this grain processing plant; idk what they actually did I just ran errands for the dude n made sure he wasn’t bothered from big money decisions basically. Glorified coffee bitch? Anyways we’re working one day and the workers catch this random lady like??? Taking bags of whatever the hell they kept in the plant. We’re getting ready to call the cops, I’m getting anxious, and the boss…….. tells them to let her go. He tells her she’s allowed to take only what she can carry in her own arms. So she scrambled off with the bag of wheat or corn or whatever ???? And the crews super confused and the boss goes “do not stop her from getting what she can carry” & so that happens again like once a week for the next few months. I find out she’s actually an immigrant and a widow? Living with her dead husbands mom. She’s been stealing to feed her mom in law. Anyways eventually one day she like. Approached my boss. In his office.

And like a month later I was given an invitation to their wedding it was extremely fucked up my boss married a lady who was a wheat thief

Not only did Ms. Julie Andrews decline to be in the Mary Poppins sequel, but now we know she’s voicing a ‘secret role’ in Aquaman, which everyone thinks is this giant, spookyass sea monster that we got a glimpse of at the end of the trailer.

Julie really said “no thank you” to the past and claimed the most badass role in the entire ocean. What an inspiration

still nothing quite as amusing as having two ASoIaF fans on my dash, one that enthusiastically ships Jon x Dany and the other Jon x Sansa (but thankfully in the shipwar nonsense don’t interact). And here I am, not really in the fandom. but Sansa is one of my few favorite characters. Dany is one of my least favorite (I really really hate her dragons, I’m not interested in her plot as it ties into the rest of the series, I don’t want her ruling Westeros). But the character I dislike more than Dany? Jon Snow. I would rather have Littlefinger on the Iron Throne than Jon Snow. So, no, I don’t want Jon anywhere near Sansa. But Jon and Dany is only unappealing to me because both characters and a narrative that has them as chosen ones is unappealing.

Oh, well. I’m still bitter as hell that Rand al’Thor lived at the end of the last WoT book.

calling comics a broken industry may feel like, or may genuinely be, an over-exaggeration. however, the industry as it stands is currently deeply flawed in that: 1. there is an accepted monopoly by diamond for distribution of physical comics, which dictates prohibitively high single issue prices and demands the focus on single issue sales over TPB or digital sales; 2. the hiring and firing decisions the big 2 make, whose voices are allowed in the room, the sheer numbers of books assigned to limited pools of writers at both marvel and dc, and how those creatives are treated industry-wide; and 3. the lack of meaningful, critical comics journalism, as CBR continues to be the big 2′s mouthpiece and predominates the field.
