Your favorite fic you’ve written: Sophie’s Choice, why don’t you?

Your least favorite: Parts of Borte I still feel were weaker written than the rest of the Bór saga, which upsets me because it’s important. Wall the Heart has I think some weak writing, or didn’t punch across as I liked – or just reader apathy for it, idk.

I love my Ingwë and Cuiviénen world-building and stories, but the writing fluctuates whether I like or hate it.

Summer Olympics Indis and kids fic needs a re-polish, it deserves better writing.

Fics I written where it was the concept I dislike most? Like, as great as writing homicidal enforcer Maglor was (and “I still have two hands in which to deal with you” proud of my cleverness), that I have a fic in my list that is solely about the terrible seven brothers, oh the shame. They don’t need anymore fandom focus. ;p

Your most popular fic: 

Going by AO3 hits, the first of the Bór (with cameo Fëanorians) has the most, followed by Hold Fast Ere Night Comes and the second Bór. By kudos, Hold Fast ties with Andreth’s tale of the early Edain and flower crowns but is beaten by Andreth/Aegnor baby!fic crack. All hail the draw of Aegnor and Andreth. The various Valar one-shots get a lot of hits as well, but that’s also because they’re lots of drabbles with larger cast list because of it.

The fic you wish more people would read: Release from Bondage. And Of Ingwë Ingweron. Those are the two ‘epics’ I pour a lot of time and effort into. One I worry either crossover-element of the ASoIaF fusion or that’s it’s set in Angband offsets people. The other is prehistoric elves and Ingwë-centric.

The fic you most enjoyed writing: The ones I churn out thinking they’d be two or three sentences and end up 1000 words are almost always fun. Ilsë shouting her dead and vowing vengeance was cathartic to write and ended up just as powerful on paper as I envisioned. The siller stuff. But Hold Fast was one of the first, and written pencil on paper.

Your funniest fic: Um, I would say it’s probably a toss-up between some of the Angrod narrating Dorthonion fics (Whatcha Gonna Call It best example) and Feasting with the Lions of Valmar because poor Ingwerion and his randy parents. I try to be funny; never sure how successful I am.

Your hottest fic: None of the porny stuff has seen the light of day (yet), so of my tame stuff… FwtLofV has its steamy moment (get a room, Ingwë and Ravennë) – and I know in upcoming stuff they’ll only be worse. But for intimate scenes that aren’t overtly sexual – Elu and Melian in the Lightning one-shot for sure, and there are a few moments with Faron and Faelindis that in part because of the contrast to everything else and how nakedly vulnerable and tender they are (and when I get to the final scenes in the Gardens of Lórien …yeah up shall squeak the rating).

Your saddest fic: Toss this question to the readers -but probably either Of Family and Wolves, Hold Fast Ere Night Comes, parts of Release from Bondage, any that have or hearken back to major character death – and yes, The Bull and the Tides was written around that gut-punch last line and I get unlimited sadistic glee off that.

Fic you’d like to be remembered for: OCs developing the off-overlooked Vanyar and Bór and Sindar. Fuck the Fëanorians.

The thing(s) your fic contributed to fandom headcanon: Has any of it? I hope my Klingon Vanyar and the idea that Ingwë =/= Imin has caught on. And that the Bór deserve more attention and love and that Elros’s wife and the First Queen of Númenor should be at least half-Easterling. Aside from that
