It was German Chocolate and almost too big a slice it was very rich. Day has been mostly good and low-key, just got off the phone with a long fun chat from one of my little sisters.

So far it’s been a lovely day! And this post has been like a vial of Eärendil’s light sitting in my inbox giving me pleasure and hope leading up to today thank you
It shall be a very low-key and a bit lonely a birthday for me today, but at least I only have to work the morning shift, I have mostly-made-from-scratch French onion soup and a chocolate cake of some sort to look forward too (tiramisu or a German chocolate, depending on which the local HEB has), and then the rest of the day I’m relaxing, maybe re-watching a film I like, and reblogging I’m not sure what yet for today’s birthday blog celebration.
The biggest take-away is I sure as hell don’t feel like is old of a competent aged adult. Not gonna get anxious of it, best I can.

Today was a good day (not that it felt birthday-y at all until I got on tumblr tonight to answer people and flail happily from beta feedback). Got my pillow (there’s a sisterly squabble saga), a ton of vader-themed t-shirts, and a pair of elephant earrings as part of my gifts (and bought a new flat griddle to make grilled sandwiches – exciting adult present purchasing is …its own definition of exciting). On a little bit of a sugar high from the tiramisu cake tbh.
