anonymous requested platonic Super Sons (Damian and Jon).

Lois Lane is amazing. She’s simply amazing.
Just think about how much money she could have made with that newsstory in MoS.

Just imagine knowing the full identity and story of superman before anyone else.

But you know what? She decided that he wasn’t just an alien. That he wasn’t just a sensation.
She decided that he had the right to privacy and to live without the media hype that would inevitably follow him if he were found out.

It’s so incredibly interesting that she took the time to properly investigate him. She didn’t just shrug him off as an alien and a momentary sensation she was sure he had a story and that she wanted to find out about it.

And when she had gathered all knowledge about him and concluded that he was human. When she saw the sacrifice John Kent made for his son? She just said no. This is not what I should do and she’s never looked back.

On the other side when she does see something fishy going on she will not let go until the truth has been discovered. Lois Lane was the first to not only see what Lex was doing but also find evidence for it.

And she has a range of going from holding her head high in front of dangerous people who insult her and threaten to harm her to being able to hold Clark to her chest and comfort him when he needs it. Or letting him take her mind of things.

She gets to worry, she gets to save and she gets to be saved.
And she does all that with her wit, her morality, her empathy and her love.

Lois Lane in the DCEU is good example of what a woman without superpowers or combat skills can do and that they too can carry weight in a movie.

I literally cannot stop thinking about this panel? like dick and wally actually watched scooby doo together in canon. whose idea was it in the first place? also imagine dick analyzing everything and getting super into it while wally side eyes him. dick trying to talk over wally’s laughter

“no but seriously the only possible explanation is for the security guard to have done it I mean -”

“dick you are taking this way too seriously chill”

“no no wally listen!! the groundskeeper didn’t even have access to -”

“dick. this is a cartoon. for kids. really small kids”

“you’re not listening to me just hear me out”

“oh my god.”

I never really got into those Talon!AUs. I don’t know man, just keep the Court of Owls away from me.

GOTHAM WAS BUILT BY US. THE COURT OF OWLS. AND NOW WE HAVE A PARLIAMENT BECAUSE PUNS AND CAW CAW MOTHER FUCKER.

idk my guy i’m climbing a volcano tomorrow.

i hate how the entire talon thing in canon was and @margoshkas can in five minutes devise a way better way to do that entire story line and history of that organization

talon? how about edgelord steampunk 3000 okay.

ok, one stop calling me out for liking the idea of the court of owls ok. i am young and impressionable, scusi por favor, leave me be. alora, the court of owls is fantastic in theory—

once their entire backstory is removed, forgotten, and thrown in the garbage chute.

first of all, the court of owls is basically how dc’s writers failure of a parallelism metaphor for the illuminati. which ok, fuckin’ ace, but also, fuck no. please. so here’s a quick fix-it.

  • there is no three hundred year history; the court did not come with the mayflower. the court did not build gotham. there is no secret society controlling the socio-political and economic standing of one of the oldest, most corrupt, and highly visible cities of the united states.
  • batman knows. batman always knows. more importantly, bruce wayne knows. ( he ignores it. )
  • the thing about the rich is that they have an odd way of processing their self preservation. the thing about the powerful is that they like control and they hate being duped.
  • living in gotham, kind of nullifies those thus, the creation of the court.
  • the court of owls was created as a safety measure by the rich and powerful for the rich and powerful. ( of course, bruce wayne knows. he was invited. he was there when it was jokingly proposed. he was there when it was just in hypotheticals. when it was just a theory. he ignores it. just the way he ignored the final clubs in princeton. the fraternities and societies he got invited into as a wayne. he ignores it. )
  • gotham’s high society is sick and tired of the gotham rogues; they are sick and tired of being kidnapped and tortured and robbed and used as guinea pigs by the tug of war that the batman has started when he put on the cape twenty years ago. they are done.
  • but they won’t leave gotham; they have roots here. reputations. strongholds. they know how it functions. they won’t leave.
  • the court is created. the parliament voted upon. their talon is a former black bag operative; reprogrammed and indoctrinated with the court’s beliefs. ( screw that gray son narrative; but also yaaas on that gray son narrative. gotham’s high society may not know who the bat family is, but they know the waynes and they know dick grayson, they know the fall out between him and bruce. they know dick was a cop in the bludhaven police force. they know he quit that and did a stint as a museum curator. they know that he disappeared and died and appeared in the other side of the world as an unknown operative under the codename agent 37. they want one of their own to do their dirty work; one that they saw grow up. one that they don’t need to indoctrinate because he already grew up knowing their doctrine. )
  • the waynes are not involved. but the kanes are. ( the court wants bruce wayne, by extension they also want damian al ghul. )
  • the court is not a problem until it is. ( bruce underestimates his peers; bruce underestimates how much gotham has been warped by batman and his rogues. bruce forgets how the vanguard operates. bruce forgets. bruce ignores. bruce is caught off guard until the treat becomes too big to ignore and by then he ca longer contain the court. )
  • cue, a new fucking storyline that makes sense and provides relevant social commentary; also a great meta analysis on how bruce wayne and batman is a stop gap and how it needs to change, or at least, evolve.
