oh-mother-of-darkness:

Cass sat on the rafters while Dick and Tim chattered beneath her. They hadn’t noticed her come in, so she sat by herself, swinging her boots back and forth in the emptiness, following along. Dick sat on a fraying couch while Tim bounced around him, telling a story about chasing a gunman by the docks. He paced around the room and ducked behind the furniture to demonstrate, laughing the entire time.

There were words too, of course. Cass could hear them just fine, even if she didn’t recognize them. She tried closing her eyes, listening carefully, but Tim talked too fast, and there were too many words, and she could hear him moving around, anyway: across the room, behind the couch, springing over it to mime surprising the gunman. The movement alone told her everything she needed to know.

It was… Cass didn’t know the word to describe it, but it felt like being lost in the alleyways that spanned the city, turning the same corners over and over again without moving any further. It was black and heavy, and it made her body ache.

Dick didn’t laugh like that with her. No one did. No one sat with her or leaned towards her or even brushed by her in tight spaces. Tim’s eyes followed her around rooms, and Cass knew it wasn’t malicious. She moved too silently, and she startled him often. It didn’t happen if he knew where she was.

Still. He didn’t watch the others. It didn’t matter that Bruce was quiet too.

About the Titans Trailer

teen-titans-imagines:

Everyone is getting all worked up about Dick Grayson saying “fuck batman” and killing those guys; calling it identity theft because ‘that’s a jason todd thing’ but here’s the thing:

Dick Grayson is the angry Robin. He has always been the angry Robin. It’s his character flaw. He even said it himself that he had an “uncontrollable temper”. Dick Grayson saying “Fuck Batman” and killing someone is not far off from what he would do. Dick Grayson is the person who will get angry, say and do shit in the moment, and then regret it later.

Jason Todd is not the angry Robin. Jason Todd, arguable, is the cold Robin; the Robin that can get angry. Jason Todd is perceived as angry because of the fact he died and Batman didn’t come to rescue him. Anger is not Jason’s character flaw. Whenever Jason does something, it’s because it was his conscious decision. Jason Todd will kill someone, and that’s out of choice, not of anger. Sure, he’ll be angry and still kill someone, but he is still conscious about his decision to.

When Dick gets angry, he gets blinded by his anger. He doesn’t realize what he says or does until it’s too late, and then regrets it later.

I know some people might be joking about it, but I know there are those who are very serious about their dissing.

Dick Grayson has always been the angry Robin, and Jason Todd has always been the Robin who could get angry.

There’s my take on the whole discourse about the thing.

okay I don’t know if anyone has done this already but this just popped into my head and I can’t stop thinking about it:

Cheerleader Dick Grayson

And not just as a base like a lot of male cheerleaders, he’s definitely a flyer. He’s just so tiny and flexible, he’s just perfect for the job and he’s already used to being thrown around. Though, he’s strong enough to sub in as a base and no one can understand how this tiny kid is throwing girls around like it’s nothing

Imagine, little 14-yr-old Dick at Gotham Academy, just starting out and he and Babs are hanging out in the courtyard on their free period, and Dick is bored so he just starts doing handstands and back walkovers while they’re chatting, when all of a sudden a gaggle of 11th and 12th grade girls are surrounding him and freaking out, just immediately recruiting him for the team.

It’s just another addition to his many extracurriculars but Bruce allows it because it’s actually almost like training, so now Dick gets to share this huge part of himself with a bunch of other people like him, who can do what he can, and he’s still the center of attention because he’s So Cute and ‘omg look at this kid go’ but he’s not this freak of nature cuz he can bend his spine backwards, cuz all the other people on the team can do that too

Just Dick Grayson: Cheerleading Captain by 11th grade, taking Gotham Academy to Nationals. I love it.
