Sketches of Sauron confronting Lúthien🔥
I know maned wolves aren’t actually wolves…but they’re the most Sauron looking “wolf” if there ever was one. I’ve been messing with Sauron transformations tonight but I liked this one the best. I’ll share more soon~On Twitter: (x)

I did the embroidery a while ago and wasn’t too happy with it, but the I added some beads and now I think it’s ok.
Beren x Lúthien @verymaedhros
Celebrían x Elrond @belekoroz
Melian x Thingol @devidlg
Yeah, these are gonna be simple and messy because I don’t have the strength to do full color ones rn ;(
don’t kill meee
you know what my absolute favorite thing that tolkien wrote is?
the tale of beren and luthien
beren is a roughish outlaw mortal
luthien is a delicate elven maiden
they fall in love and her dad sends him on a quest to win her hand in marriage and imprisons her in a tower to keep her safe
she breaks out and saves his ass like fifty times
and i think that’s beautiful
also, sauron gets curbstomed by a dog named Dog

Fandom: The Silmarillion
Pairing: Thingol/Melian, but Thingol is truly just a stage dressing here

CW: birdmonster!Melian is best Melian. The explanation of my headcanons behind this drawing accidentally a prose. The art piece was for @legendariumladiesapril, prompt: Beginnings, and also accidentally ‘Fanon’ and ‘Abstracts’. I am in fact that slow 😀
Her husband’s people insisted on referring to it as her true form, but it wasn’t. She didn’t – she wasn’t like Tulkas or Oromë or the matter-shaping maiar of Aulë, to need a body to realise her part in the song of Ëa. She was- was the quality of sound that made it music rather than noise, harmony rather than discord. Her nature held no inherent physicality, but she would, in the springtime of the world, wear a shape to better hear the nightingales sing.
It was not her true form, the shape her husband had first found her in, but it was her most comfortable body, if she chose one, the assemblage of the world around her naked spirit that was easiest to put on. Elu had loved her in it at once.
His people were afraid of it.
