Beren & Lúthien aesthetic
↳requested by anonymous,” in honor of the new book”“The leaves were long, the grass was green,
The hemlock-umbels tall and fair,
And in the glade a light was seen
Of stars in shadow shimmering.
Tinuviel was dancing there
To music of a pipe unseen,
And light of stars was in her hair,
And in her raiment glimmering.“There Beren came from mountains cold,
And lost he wandered under leaves,
And where the Elven-river rolled.
He walked along and sorrowing.
He peered between the hemlock-leaves
And saw in wonder flowers of gold
Upon her mantle and her sleeves,
And her hair like shadow following.”

You know, it seems like 90% of drawings of Huan the wolfhound depict him as a wolf. I shudder to think what these people would do if asked to draw a bloodhound.
Here he is worrying about his bipedal puppies.
AOAA is out! My stuff: 1) partying elves in Doriath and 2) that one moment where Turin and Tuor almost met ;^;

Among the tales of sorrow and of ruin that come down to us from the darkness of those days there are yet some in which amid weeping there is joy and under the shadow of death light that endure. And of these histories most fair still in the ears of the Elves is the tale of Beren and Luthien

Disclaimer: Here is a blend of Original Tolkien creations (aka my best efforts at recreating the author’s drawing), modifications on the original, and designs completely from cloth.
In order:
Lúthien 01, Lúthien 02

- HERE is the master-list.
Notes:
I’m starting with Lúthien 01 and 02, both reproductions of the original Tolkien designs. More to come (have close to 100 of these things).
Both have the white niphredil that first bloomed when she was born.
