tagged by @heckofabecca. Favorites meme. Oh crap. I can’t do these because I am indecisive and picky – I can say what I like at a given moment and what I decidedly dislike, but concrete favorites…..

name: classified

nicknames: online? heget

zodiac sign: Virgo

height: 5′0″(5′1″ give me this)

nationality: American. I was born in Washington D.C., I think I get extra USA points for that

favorite fruit: used to be Granny Smith apples, uh, watermelon

favorite season: What geographic location are we talking about? Back up in the Mid-Atlantic East Coast or Pacific Northwest, it might be summer. Here in South Texas? Early spring around March is when bluebonnets start appearing all over the hillsides, but then September is Hawk Migration and November is when it finally starts noticeably cooling off. Sub-tropics autumn is not the fall you see posts about with fancy changing leaves and crisp cold weather (heck winter is still averaging in the mid 60s-70s) But then while I like the spring and fall seasons- those are also when my sinus infections hit hardest. Okay, look, any season where the high heat plus humidity isn’t completely intolerable when stepping outside (so, like, under 98°F) and it isn’t cold (under 55°F SHUT UP THAT”S COLD)

favorite book: fuuu- you don’t get to do that to me. I can’t even answer favorite book series for a specific genre

favorite flower: ooooh. Honeysuckle, dendrobium orchids, gladiolus…

favorite scent: rain

favorite color: Navy blue, aqua green and turquoise, coral and deep reds and also pumpkin orange, forest and olive greens, whites and rich browns, only a certain shade of pink, some purples- I like neutrals and jewel tones more than pastels and loathe neons

favorite animal: Siamese cats and certain sight hounds

coffee | tea | hot cocoa: sugary creamer with coffee (my coffee is usually the color of cardboard), sweet teas (with lemonade and only about half as sweet as usual Southern Sweet tea)

average sleep hours: …6? But I nap during the day on weekends, and sometimes I get 9 hours. But 6-7 sounds about right.

cat or dog person: Look, a whippet acts more like a cat than a dog and a siamese is not a typical cat. I want that animal that behavioral wise is some weird hybrid

favourite fictional character: AHAHAHA … please don’t ask for a real answer for this one

number of blankets you sleep with: I have a giant throw blanket that i usually sleep cocooned in on-top of my comforter, I’m weird. Only when it gets cold enough do I sleep under the comforter and sheets

blog created: 2013

number of followers: Discounting pornbots and the like? It hovers under 350 so the real number is probably at most 300

random fact: I wear bifocals and have worn glasses since I was five. Um, I only have piercings on my earlobes, no tattoo or desire for one, and I have never permanently dyed my hair or permed it. (as aggravating as it can be, my hair is also my vanity and it’s a very rich brown that’s almost black and has- when it behaving- beautiful curls)

INDEPENDENCE

You don’t set out to be different for its own sake; you are more easily guided by what interests and moves you. You are more concerned about what is right for you than about the pressure to fit in. In sex you are more aware than others of impulses which are not entirely conventional. You know the value of selective irresponsibility, of forgetting occasionally about being ‘good’.

– Well the first part is pretty accurate. I want my interests and comforts and entertainment, and i want to be left alone to enjoy them. I can be very selfish and self-centered, and while I do love to help people out, I hate to do it formally- I will volunteer for a charity group event but run away screaming if asked to join as a member.

SHYNESS

Part of you is gripped by the fear that you’ll launch into something and completely mess it up. The upside of this is wise caution: people are indeed often too rash, whereas you know, by instinct, that holding back can save you. Probably, you feel shame and self-disgust a bit too much. But when you do feel in your element, you act with a wisdom and sensitivity never found in people with thicker skins.

– Hit the nail on the head with that hammer and didn’t need a quiz for that.

ORDERLINESS

You love it when everything is neat and tidy: when there is a proper way of doing things, and you can tick things off the to-do list and know where everything is. So others, at times, are to you unbearably sloppy and messy. And you run into things that can’t be ordered (a child, a partner, a colleague at work) which drives you slightly nuts. But your desire for order is a good one when it is focused where it is needed and when you’re okay with a bit of mess.

– lol no. Okay, there’s a little bit in that I like to have a one proper way to do things right so I can have confidence that I will be successful – but that’s that fear downside of a perfectionist. Yes to have a routine, a plan to start with- but then when I start on whatever the task is, I throw that out. And tidy? HAHA no. Slob. Cluttered. Organized method to the clutter. Authoritarian streak, a dislike of metaphysical chaos, yes (which pairs oh so nicely with that first trait : ).

Rules: tag 9 people you wanna get to know better!

Relationship status: Single

Wake up time: …4:30/5:00 AM because of the bitch (I love my dog, but currently I hate her), usually around 6:40/7:00 weekdays and weekends can be anywhere between 4:30 to 10:00

Cats or dogs: the aforementioned harrier, though honestly I am much more a cat person, if said cat is a Siamese. Or if the dogs are a breed of sighthound, aka a cat stuck in a dog’s body

Coke or pepsi: coke, especially cherry coke, but I can’t drink them anymore because of my teeth (I used to drink up to three cans a day)

Call or text: text

Chapstick or lipstick: lip gloss. I wore chapstick for the first time a long time yesterday, but usually the only makeup I bother with is a bit of color and shine on my lips and it’s easier for me to apply than messing with actual lipstick sticks.

Last song you listened to: Mumford and Son The Enemy. Before that it’s been a on-constant-repeat of the cover of When Doves Cry from Romeo+Juleit

things y’all don’t know about me meme

@anghraine tagged me for this meme like…three days ago? idk I can’t tell time except hourly. But as I have a lot of memes to get through, let’s do this one!

When you get this, write 3 things your followers probably don’t know about you and then tag 10 people.

  1. At that tiny private elementary school I attended between the ages of seven and ten, with a grand total of six girls in my age level, I was the first one that puberty hit as so that compared to my classmates I had a visible chest. And as that was yet one thing to many to get teased and ostracized by the other kids about, my self-conscious nine and ten-year-old self, on the advice of my then best friend, started wearing vests to hide and downplay that feature. And it was the nineties and I wasn’t the most fashion-conscious and up-to-date kid with a mother that didn’t dress her daughters in stylish as opposed to tacky and decades out-of-date clothing…yeah a lot of turtlenecks with tapestry-print vests.
  2. In case you’re wondering, no my boobs didn’t grow much after that. I wear a 34C.

    There.

My sisters, godblesstheirwretchedsouls, think it should be a B. I’m pretty sure cup size was something none of my followers knew about me.

  3. As we’re talking elementary school me, I owned a huge collection of Babysisters Club (originally the younger reader books starting Karen, then almost every published regular line plus the specials and the mystery spin-offs) books. Y’all ain’t gonna be surprised that I identified with Mary-Ann the most?

Tagged by @crocordile on the three facts your followers probably don’t know, so let’s do this again!

  1. I too cannot ride a bike.
  2. I have never owned a Playstation, X-box, or Gamecube, or any handheld Gameboys or DSL or what have you.
  3. I’ve never owned a horse myself, but used to lease (yes you can rent horses) one named Lucero when I was in last year of middle school and first few years of high school, where I took lessons at a local stable (English style- Hunter/Jumper). I was a slow learner/not very good, and only competed once in the beginner-most division where there weren’t jumps (though jumping was my favorite and easier thing to do), but I did get first place at least, so my ego is intact 😉

rp-puckerman:

instead of that “write an about me” meme going around, people should write a review,

like on the back of a book cover, about me and i’ll put it on my blog.

examples:

  • she is so cool – anonymous
  • definitely not thirsty – anonymous
  • who are you and why are you in my house? – my mum
