It’s blurry, but just so you know my impulse control is shot-to-heck and reacting to stress in weird ways where I decide buying myself superhero doll toys is how I cope with being forced to listen to L*baugh on the radio. So I went to Walmart to buy another because I’m a completionist at heart, was disappointed they didn’t have Bumblebee, waffled between Batgirl and Starfire and decided, screw it, buying both. As I’m trying to get a picture of both of them, realized this is a great punch to Dick Grayson’s redhead dating fetish.
I adore Kori’s doll (and great age-appropriate design) and even if the face is the same as the first wave dolls, there’s something about it, maybe slightly different proportions, that I like her best. Even if the purple lipstick and eyebrows is a bit much. Love her long hair. And she can double as an Arien when/if I get around to making historical/fantasy clothes.
Babs is cute, has the far more pleasant and natural red hair. Though uuugh those black hands will bug me forever and her skintone is this very pink midtone. In comparison Ivy (Rebrand as Mera?) is very pale and Kara/Supergirl has this tan with yellower undertones, so I can’t swap out. Though i totally swapped clothes to give Kara the purple and black bat-themed outfit because it’s as close to Stephanie Brown as I currently can have

In sewing news, working on pleated skirts, made a white one that’ll work as a puffy petticoat underskirt and made a long dark blue plaid-patterned skirt, unfinished as I’m deciding if to finish it off as a skirt or make a top of some sort and turn it into a dress. Also irked that I don’t have the blue plaid of the Gotham Academy, but you bet that’s on the back burner of potential projects. (Oooh, wondering what doll could make an Olive Silverlock from…)
