Still on my 90s-2000s nostalgia trip. And yes, a drinking game of “I remember this”, “I don’t recognize this song from the band”, “so THAT is what the rest of the lyrics were”, and “yeah this one song I liked the singer-oh wait that’s Chris Cornell again. But what about … yep.”

…so I’m maybe realizing that I committ to theme when I dress and sometimes it does get obvious – wearing my really comfy shirt with a cats wearing berets and glasses print, paired with one of my several cat face watches (leopard print wrist band) and gold dangly mouse earrings (the cat face watch wearing glasses is black and silver, but the earrings are gold, so thus this watch).
Whispers to myself: I am going to drag as many of my Tolkien followers into DC (Batman) hell with me as I can. I will do so by highlighting that there is canon discourse over hair colors and earlier story/characterization versions, high drama between brothers and brothers-in-arms, and everybody dies but mostly gets better.
that TIME sorting quiz
since @anghraine and @crocordile did it, here’s my results:

I am shocked that there’s no Slytherin and that there’s any Gryffindor. Some of the questions honestly I could not quantitatively and objectively decide, have a feeling I could go back, answer differently, but either Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff sounds about right.
My Ms. Frizzle Earring game evolves
Yesterday I found charm sets at Hobby Lobby for Emma-Sense & Sensibility-Pride & Prejudice and Hamlet-Much Ado About Nothing-Midsummer’s Night Dream. Am now currently wearing my pretty blue S&S earrings. (saving the Hamlet ones to turn into those two tier dangle or maybe a front/back as to add a skull charm as well, because if you’re going to make Hamlet themed earrings, you need to go the full “Alas Poor Yorick”)
will post an update photo of the cross-stitch project later tonight. I think by then I’ll have finished all the black thread for this quarter of the emblem. As I joked to @yavieriel, I have never felt more like a Tolkien damsel.
Don’t ask my why, but I have spent the last two hours watching this channel on youtube of a ton of instructional videos on how to pronounce American English – not because I have any real interest in phonetics and such, not to mention they are guides for people trying to learn (AM)English as a second language – except to be honest the best parts of these videos (aside from the huh, you’re right, there is three versions of the [t] sound) are the excited comments from non-native speakers on how helpful the videos are.
Tangentially, this video where a guy practices various accents and pointed out how the Texan accent(s) do videos amuses me because he explains what I’ve noticed I do with my vowels (sort of we make they into diphthongs? That mouth moment thing where widen and close is very true)
