Sally Beauty sells Remi hair pretty cheap, if you want something nicer. Well, cheap if you’re only buying one pack.

yeah this was an ‘attempt to see if i could’. I really want a Jessica Cruz, or at least another that isn’t a blonde or redhead, but that would mean sacrificing a Wonder Woman, and the two dolls actually have slightly different head molds and paint jobs (and even if I didn’t say “Donna Troy”, black hair and blue eyes is a DC default), unlike duplicate Ivy (still deciding who she now resembles, not to mention frankly the default Ivy looks more a Mera – I like my Pam Isley with a greenish tint skintone) or Supergirl/”Stephanie”. So i can live w/out immediately customizing one to differentiate. -this whole thing is a back and forth between completionist collecting and hobby dabbling in customizing…

doesn’t help that artists can’t stay consistent with Jessica’s hair color

Do you have any favorite Tolkien heroines??

Strap in, Anon, here’s the list:

Eowyn and Arwen from LotR, of course, and Lobeila Sacksville-Baggins. From the Silmarillion – Lúthien, Indis, Elwing, Andreth, Melian, Finduilas, Nerdanel, honorable mentions for Morwen and Rían, Nienor, Nellas, Idril, Galadriel, Haleth, Aredhel, then canonical ghosts I’ve made into beloved OCs like Ingwë’s wife Ravennë, Elros’s wife Bortë and all the women of the People of Bór, Ilsë, Faelindis and Indomunië and Aereth…

I tend to like the majority of female characters, unless gross fandom misogyny and pitting two females characters against each other leads to demonizing my favorite, then i tend to get a bad taste about the ‘superior’ female character as a sort of unfortunate backwash with those fans. Indis was my first favorite, and I was/am disgusted at how nasty she was treated when I entering the Silm fandom on tumblr, which meant my ambivalence towards Míriel took a long time to recover.

Why u do this??

*giggles* I live off my readers’ pain, and I kept rewatching the Justice League trailer and reblogging gif sets of Lois’s dream reunion with Clark and feeling really really sad- and then because I already equated Jon Samuel Kent (comic canon son of Lois and Clark, precious cinnamon roll child) with Dior Eluchil, I starting thinking about rewriting that scene with Beren and Lúthien. Then thought, oh wait, there’s an even more painful version, Andreth/Aegnor!

Hey, I’m a huuuuge fan of your elvish sigils!!! I’m actually obsessed tbh, and i was wondering 2 things. 1. You said on your page that you posted the banners that go with them, but i can’t find them 😢😢 I’m sure I’m looking in the wrong place, but where might they be? 2. Did you ever do sigils for the lords of Gondolin? Not their heraldry, but like normal elvish sigil work. I’ve always wondered what they look like. Thank you so much!!! 🌞🌞😙☺

Ah! Okay, so these originally started as Sims 2 content, back a few years ago on my other computer when i still had that game and was very busy modding and creating for a Silmarilion-themed neighborhood. The links still work, even if the photobucket pictures don’t, on my old DW and if you go to medievalsims.com (Plumbbob Keep). Hold on. Had to redownload those old photos from photobucket- but here’s the banners I was talking about. I stopped making Sims 2 content altogether a few months after joining tumblr, but kept making the sigils themselves. As you can see, the flag objects had two texture images, the sigil itself and then the ‘flag portion’, which meant at least for the first fifty or so sigils I had to make a matching banner.

And here’s the key I made with most of the ‘banner’ swatches

As for the Lords of Gondolin … *sheepish laugh*. You’d think with their heraldry described on-page I would have, but whenever I started to, I got false starts – there’s a failed Glorfindel hiding in some set and I did make Voronwë and Meleth and Maeglin. With the program I used to make these no longer working for me (it was outdated even before I moved to a new computer so not surprised), I can’t promise I’ll make any new sigils soon.

i feel you tho :/ i pretty much felt this way about a lot of the DC movies until Wonder Woman, heh

Whereas god I love Man of Steel and BvS the more I watched them (parts of Suicide Squad I do like, and I’d love Wonder Woman more if it wasn’t used falsely to bash the other DC films because it isn’t that different.)

But like, I’m sorry but if I could only watch Finn’s scenes for TLJ and get cliff notes for the rest I’d be happy, and I’m saying this as someone who has among her favorite movies Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith and ran down her dorm hallway giddily dancing when she got the box set of the original Triolgy as a birthday gift.

ugh, i’m sorry the story seems to be veering away from the things you enjoy most :C

Look going in the sequel series part of it was going to be a hard sell, because as I realized, it and especially TFA  basically hit a lot of my problems I had with the EU Legends (And why I realized Kylo Ren is just…redeems himself or not, that means he’s either just enough like Kyp Durron or Jacen Solo, and none of the three characters are appealing to me, so I’m not goign to be happy either way his arc resolves) with story structure and the time skip but either not enough or too much of one, that at least we don’t have a three-eyed clone of the emperor (not that I feel the eventual explanation for Snoke is going to be much better but at least he isn’t Thrawn; that’s a good thing, right?) and what felt like blatant resetting characterization to beginning of ANH, with only a few things feeling fresh and the nostalgic parts not working for me, the ‘mystery box’ secrets for the sake of secrets of which I’m giving the benefit of the doubt are because trilogy! structure! ….

but… I have no hype. And comparing it to how yesterday my feelings not even able to make it through one minute of the Justice League trailer without stopping because I was overwhelmed, yeah, just not a fan and gonna try to not be an anti-fan.
