I said I’m sorry! And I’m working on that fluffy Findis and Heledir Write Voltron fic as we speak.

Hey out of the forty or more silm fics that I have written, only a quarter of those hinge on a major character death at the end or beginning. I think. IDK my math. Hey, this is the Silmarillion fandom

Honesly I think you portrayed that beautifully :’) It helps that Heledir sounds a lot like me a few years ago hahaa, but yeah, I love relationships that are platonic-borderline-not :’)

Yeah there are parts of Heledir that are very self-insert 😉

AWWW omg I love this!
I love the vibe between them hahahaha they sound super comfortable with each other (and sliiiiiightly flirty but i might have imagined it hahaha)

Thanks! Writing more right now (if I can remember everything I’ve brainstormed as I take my shower). The flirtiness started with describing the opening position, and I threw my hands up and told myself to run with it. Gonna see how far I can push it without going into actual intentional sexual interest and interaction because I have this very clear idea of what Findis and Heledir’s feelings are, but not sure on the correct labels. But Heledir is someone that loves the idea of romance in other people and gets invested in fictional couples as well as those of his friends and acquaintances – he’s a hardcore shipper – but he doesn’t want to date. Very close friends with Edrahil and others, and has a strong appreciation for aesthetics and beauty – for example he loves the sound quality of Findis’s voice. And there is this knight and his lady devotion to his interactions with her, because he met her as a young teenage boy and she was this very mature but withdrawn beautiful woman secreted away in a library who he could bring gifts to and cheer her up, because she didn’t have many friends or companions and still isolating herself on reflex because of the nastiness she faced as a child of this second marriage. And he loves her imagination and prose. So it’s a very supportive friendship, but at most their feelings might be romantic/platonic – they don’t touch or cuddle but if they were ever pressed to marry, they’d marry each other. In comparison, my Indis/Nerdanel head-canons are definitely that those two are romantic/do romantic gestures for each other as well as this patronage relationship.

Happy birthday!

Aw, Thank you, guys! It was a relaxing low-key birthday – and I considered how fortunate I was with regards to Harvey as my biggest and best gift this year, so like that, it was a great birthday.

Tevildo, but I don’t think that would be a good idea. XD Perhaps Vairë? She’s a weaver, and where there’s yarn and other crafty things there’s bound to be cats, right? 😀

Yes, I couldn’t use him 😀 And nice idea about the cats getting into yarn. Plus Findis the authoress would definitely chose Vairë as her patroness. Her or Nessa for the Bastet imagery were my choices I was leaning towards, but if we work in cats protecting grain from rats and mice, there is a protection angle with Tulkas, but the guardian from death but also a bringer of (rodent) death and traditional sensitivity to spirits all says Mandos.

asgdetrjnek HEGET it’s your birthday!! I’ve been on sick leave and not checking my calendar so I forgot x_x My friend!! Happy birthday!! It’s been a shitty shitty year, but what a joy to at least share it with you :’) I wish you all the good things, my dear!

And I sincerely hope you feel better soon!

Harvey derailed my birthday plans and any feelings for a strong celebration – but at least it also meant I got the day off, so honestly I took a nap most of the day. 😀

YES, god, “but why didn’t they just leeeaave” makes my blood boil.

YES. Someone says that and I want to smack them.

Maybe because they don’t have transportation, or a relative/pets/business/something they can’t or feel they shouldn’t leave behind. (Those I know that stayed, it was because of that or because like me lived inland enough. Heck, the owner of the newborn calf Harvey- he runs a boarding kennel so he was staying- and shaking his head as so many people who were evacuating Corpus were leaving their animals at his facility) Maybe they don’t have the cash set aside to pay for an extended trip out of town. Or maybe, just maybe, they know how jam-packed crowded the evacuation routes out of town might be, especially if trying to leave the day of, with rain already coming down and the roads dangerous to drive on. And that with everyone trying to get out -regular Houston traffic is bad enough- just imagine everyone stuck in their cars as the floodwaters hit instead of their houses.

Maybe because they remembered that of the 113 who died in Texas because of Hurricane Rita, 107 were related to trying to evacuate the city (if you look specifics, most causes tied into the heat-wave before the hurricane hit).
